About the Retreat

 

Spotlight for Siruvani: By its definition a spotlight means “a powerful light that shines on a small area” The purpose of our retreat in April 2015 is to focus our attention on the work CORD Siruvani does.

 

CORD Siruvani works incredibly hard to help local villagers improve their day to day lives. Whether it is through providing low-cost healthcare, sanitation initiatives, or fighting social injustice, CORD Siruvani leaves a lasting positive impact in the community.

 

Just as Seva at Siruvani is non-stop, so should our efforts be. We will be performing (Singing, Dancing, Bhajans, Instrumentals, Skits, Khatak, Bharat Natyam, Kuchipudi, Hanuman Chalisa recitals, Satsangs and more) for 40 hours continuously.

 

100% of the funds raised will go towards building a new CORD center much needed within the community at Siruvani. Our goal is to complete 500 performances and raise $25,000 all of which will contribute towards building this center. The more funds we raise, the more we perform. 

 

Registration for the retreat is just $51. Those participating in the full retreat (including performing) are requested to raise a minimum of $151.00, to sponsor at least 3 performances.
